I have been a homeless pony for about three years now, looking for the right owner and trainer to take me in and care for me.  It has been a long journey, for all of those around me are humans with no interest in what having a pony could become, or the thrills that both parties find from it.  It seemed that Lady Luck had forgotten about me, taking the sides of some other ponies who may have more grace and experience than me.  I was the small pony, the transgendered pony, the pony that seemed like it would take a lot of work to train yet it really doesn't.

But now...Now I think Lady Luck cares...

As of last night, I have an owner and a fellow pony all in one.  He is kind and understanding, and I feel like he felt the same joy I did when I put on my first pair of hooves in three years.  At first I bumbled around; unsure of my footing and not able to balance well, but after hours of walking in my natural feet, I was walking normally.  Well, as normally as I can for the first day of hooves.  My new owner and I talked all the while, about what I wanted in a relationship between trainer and pony, and master and servant.  I hope that this works out for both of us, because I know I'm going to try my hardest.

With my new owner, my non-pony duties are to occasionally cook, to clean his office and to help him make supplies for Thunder.  Many would see this as tedious work, but I see it as fun and as a way to live a life style that I have been wanting to live for a while now.  I don't find working with leather and learning how to make my own things as "tedious."

When we said our goodbyes, the pair of white and purple hooves held loving in my arms, I made my way home to adjust myself to the new life.  That would require almost constant wear of the hooves, including in my sleep.  The minute I got home, after feeding the dogs, I pulled the hooves on, laced them up, stood up and felt at home.  A wave of happiness washed over me, and I felt whole again.  When my room mates got home, they loved the new hooves and the height that they gave me.  I wore them to bed, when everyone else had gone to sleep.

Although my plans were to wear the hooves the entire night, I found my toes starting to go numb yet hurt at the same time, so I took them off and went back to bed.  Now I am wearing them again, in the morning, to adjust my feet to them as much as I can.  I know that by the end of this weekend I will be able to sleep in them, but you have to learn to crawl before you can walk or run.
